Authors instructions

PAPERS, POSTERS, PRESENTATIONS, SELECTION PROCESS

Original, unpublished regular papers are invited.

A written technical paper is required for each oral presentation.
Accepted regular papers will be published in the proceedings and presented in an oral session at the Congress. (Registration and presentation by at least one author are mandatory.)

Short papers reporting on ongoing research are also invited.

Each accepted short paper will be published in the proceedings and presented both as a poster and in a five-minute oral session at the Congress. (Registration and presentation by at least one author are mandatory.)

The selection process will be conducted by the Program Committee through a formal review, based on abstracts of regular papers and short paper submissions.

The list of Program Committee members will be available soon. By submitting a paper, authors confirm that their work is not subject to prior copyright and agree that the ERTS organizing bodies have the right to edit, reproduce, and distribute it in print and/or electronic format.

REGULAR PAPER SUBMISSION

First step (abstract submission): 
authors are invited to upload an abstract of their regular paper to: Easy Chair System in English, ‘PDF’ format, character size 10, minimum 2 pages, maximum 4 pages, containing:

• indication of the category (“abstract of regular paper”); 
• name and affiliation of author(s);
• keywords (in addition to the selection of the relevant Congress topics to do on-line at submission);
• summary of the intended final regular paper, focusing in particular on:
      – positioning with regards to the state of the art, 
      – summary of major results. 

Abstracts will be first reviewed by at least 3 members of the Program Committee.

 Second step (final submission): 
a shepherding process is in place in order to support the preparation of the final regular paper for each selected abstract. 
Authors of each selected abstract will have to submit the full paper (maximum 10 pages, character size 10, in English, “PDF” format) to the program committee member designated as the shepherd for this paper.
After shepherd agreement, authors shall upload the final version of their regular paper through the on-line submission process. 

The proceedings will be published on electronic support (and therefore colours may be used if needed)

SHORT PAPER SUBMISSION

First step (initial submission): 
Authors are invited to upload their short paper to Easy Chair System, in English, ‘PDF’ format, character size 10, minimum 2 pages, maximum 4 pages, containing: 

•Indication of the category (« Short paper)
•name and category of authors(s)
•keywords (in addition to the selection of the relevant Congress topics to do on-line at submission);
•description of the research work in progress
•short positionning with regards to the state of the art;
•short report of the current results and further plans;

Second step (final submission): 
Authors will have to revise their submission according to program committee feedback and to submit their full paper (maximum 4 pages, character size 10, in English, “PDF” format). 

The proceedings will be published on electronic support (and therefore colours may be used if needed)

REGULAR PAPER ORAL PRESENTATION

Each accepted regular paper will get a 25mn slot for an oral presentation in English (20mn presentation, 5mn questions and answers), by at least one of its authors who must register and participate to the Congress. 
The lecture room will be equipped with a video projector and a computer. 
Prior to each session, speakers will be invited to contact their session chair or Congress organisers so that their presentation slides (in English, “PPT” or “PDF” format) can be compiled on the appropriate computer before their session starts.

SHORT PAPER POSTER PRESENTATION 

The authors of accepted short papers will get a 5mn slot for an oral presentation in English and will be asked to prepare a poster to be displayed and presented during dedicated sessions, by at least one of its authors who must register and participate to the Congress.
Authors will be invited to contact the poster session chair to hook their poster in the adequate area. 
The Congress will not print any poster, so authors have to bring and hook their posters ( A0 Portrait  format using English language).

BEST REGULAR PAPER AWARD

A best paper award will be granted per topic. The program committee will preselect finalists during the paper review phase. The jury will announce their decisions during the Welcome Reception of ERTS .
